Our History

Set against a splendid view of Sentosa, library@harbourfront was officially opened by Mr S Iswaran, then Minister for Communications and Information, on 12 January 2019. We are a reading and learning destination with a collection of 200,000 volumes in two distinct zones – one for adults and teens, and the other for children. We provide conducive spaces and enhanced services that suit all reading and learning needs.

Our library adopted a coastal theme with waves and colours of blue and green for its design elements. We want to invite you to look beyond the horizon and explore, discover, and seek new knowledge.

Interesting Facts

  • An immersive storytelling room in the Children's Zone, with audio and visual technology to make stories come alive.
  • Our Adults' and Teens' zone is managed by volunteers who come in regularly to help with the shelving of books and other activities.
  • A beautiful view of Sentosa while you sit in one of our yellow deck chairs at our reading lounges, right in the comfort of one of Singapore's largest mall libraries.

What We Offer

  • Six Learning Pods where you can access digital content and resources for independent learning and upgrade your skills.
  • Learning through technology in our Children's Zone.
  • The Tinker Truck is the first-ever makerspace for children aged three to nine featuring worksheets with STEAM topics, as well as Augmented Reality books that bring stories to life.
