Join us and volunteer at our 2020 askST and Zaobao Happy Read Talks and get up close with our seasoned journalists. askST sessions happening 5pm to 9pm at Central Public Library (31 Jan, 28 Feb, 27 Mar, 24 Apr, 29 May, 26 Jun, 24 Jul, 28 Aug, 25 Sep, 30 Oct, 27 Nov and 18 Dec). Zaobao Happy Read Talks happening 5pm to 9pm at Central Public Library (7 Feb, 6 Mar, 3 Apr, 8 May, 5 Jun, 3 Jul, 7 Aug, 4 Sep, 2 Oct, 6 Nov and 4 Dec).


**Updating of Volunteer Hours** - 7th-Mar-2019 19:10
Dear Friends of Library, thank you very much for volunteering your time with us in NLB :). We would to share that for standardisation across all our Public Libraries, volunteer hours will be updated at END of the month. Hence for February 2019 volunteering activities, volunteer hours will be updated by 8 March 2019 across all Public Libraries. You can view the hours from 11 March onwards. If you need any clarification, please email us at volunteer@nlb.gov.sg. Thank you very much for your understanding.

Cheng San Public Library Service Steward (Tech) organised by Cheng San Public Library

We are looking for volunteers to assist in: 1) Promotion of NLB Mobile App, 2) Crowd control at Borrowing Stations, 3) Assist Patrons in locating items on shelves and other duties as assigned. No experience needed except a warm and friendly personality. **5 Volunteer Hours will be awarded. Students can sign up as part of their VIA/NYAA/WEP. Dress code: smart casual with covered shoes. Please bring along a jacket in view of the low temperature in the library. Due to the nature of the activity, we do seek volunteers understanding to commit to their timeslot once it is confirmed. Thank you and we look forward to all your support! :)

Play@Library at Bukit Batok Public Library (Weekdays) organised by Bukit Batok Public Library

We are looking for volunteers to assist us during the Play@Library sessions at BBPL. Play@Library is a regular DIY unstructured play programme where parents with children aged 0-6 are provided with educational aids to play with at the programme venue. Volunteers are to: 1. Assist with simple logistics such as setting up and packing up Dress code: smart casual with covered footwear (no shorts and slippers). Thank you for supporting the programme and making it a wonderful experience for our participants!
