Leaders' Conversations

Overview

The Leaders’ Conversations series is a global digital platform for top library and archives leaders to share insights and developments in the field. Jointly organised by NLB and the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Regional Office for Asia and Oceania, this series supports the IFLA Global Vision of creating a strong and united library field powering literate, informed and participative societies.

In 2020, the inaugural instalment featuring 24 library leaders from 12 countries focused on libraries in the post-COVID-19 world, and how libraries are compelled to adapt and reinvent themselves.

As the world progressively moves from COVID-19 pandemic to endemic, libraries and archives are brought together again at the Leaders’ Conversations 2021 to jointly reimagine and shape their future. The second instalment focused on the masterplans of libraries and archives, which looked beyond the immediate future. 33 prominent library and archives leaders from 13 countries exchanged views on the future they envisage and the plans they have to carry out to achieve their vision.
