Mon - Sun: 11:00 AM - 09:00 PM

Closed at 5.00pm on eves of Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year. Closed on Public Holidays.

Our History

The Chinatown Library was officially opened on 31 Jan 2013 with the generous sponsorship of CP1 Pte Ltd and Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple. The Temple's annual donations continue to refresh the library's collection with new materials, and offer a diverse spread of cultural, heritage and literary programmes. These programmes centre around:

Qín 琴: Music [Performance Arts]

Qí 棋: Chess [Strategy]

Shū 书:Calligraphy [Literary Arts]

Huà 画: Painting [Visual and Fine Arts]

  • Chinatown Library is also NLB's first volunteer-run library. Members of the public who are interested to volunteer at Chinatown Library may sign up here.
