Our History
Tampines Regional Library is the first regional public library in Singapore. Officially opened on 3 December 1994, we were originally located along Tampines Avenue 7. During that time, we were the prototype library where new services and features were tested before being introduced at other branch libraries. In 2017, we moved to a new location at Our Tampines Hub, an integrated community and lifestyle hub, and officially reopened on 5 August 2017. Spread over five storeys, we offer an exciting new suite of facilities and services.
Interesting Facts
When you visit us, you will have a great view of the action taking place on the Our Tampines Hub soccer field, in air-conditioned comfort through floor-to-ceiling windows.
Walking through the whole library will help you clock approximately 3,000 steps.
Our volunteers help maintain our adult fiction collection. They also attend to user enquiries and promote good library etiquette. We are delighted to be able to offer them a space where they can share knowledge and plan activities to promote the love of reading to everyone.
