It shows the parade commanders at the ‘Children’s Corner’ getting ready for the arrival of H.R.H. the Prince of Wales, who was on a two-day visit to Singapore on 31 March and 1 April 1922. This event was held on the grounds opposite St Joseph’s Institution bounded by Queen Street, Bras Basah Road, Waterloo St. and Stamford Road, on Friday 31 March 1922. The third man from the left is Mr Frank Cooper Sands, who was the Commissioner of Scouts for Malaya as well as the District Commissioner for Singapore. Date of creation estimated.
