This is a photograph from E. A. Brown’s collection. It was taken during the opening ceremony of the Singapore Naval Base's floating dock on 14 August 1929. The photograph is taken from one side of the floating dock and shows the observation tower on the far side, with a gangway down to the water. Date of creation estimated.
