About the programme

No silence here as we gather to read aloud and listen to stories' highs and lows. Discover books that you might have otherwise missed, or sit in for an alternative community reading experience. Co-organised with Read-Aloud Sg Book Club. For adults.

This month, we'll be reading "Alexander Hamilton" by Ron Chernow. You are encouraged to loan the e-book from Libby app for this programme, as there are limited physical copies available for this title.

Important programme information:

1. Participants will take turns to read aloud different lines/sections from the selected book for the session.

2. This programme is targeted at adults.

3. No prior reading is required before the session.

About LearnX Communities

Communities: Reading Allowed is one of NLB’s many LearnX Communities that connect like-minded people to create a modern kampong of communal learning. These communities cover a wide range of topics and can be found in libraries all over the island. Interested? Head over to https://go.gov.sg/what-is-a-learnx-community to join an existing community or start one of your own!

About the series

Communities is an alternative learning environment where you can pick up a plethora of skills by sharing and experimenting with others. This series is built on the belief that teaching and learning can happen without a teacher.
