FAQs relating to account deletion

 


When you delete your digital account, you will not be able to use the following services on the NLB Mobile App and NLB websites that require the myLibrary username which is linked to your digital account:

  • Update your profile and contact details
  • Push notifications of transactions
  • Borrow or reserve physical books, eBooks, eNewspapers, eMagazines or Audiobooks
  • View your loans, favourites or reservations
  • Pay your fees/fines digitally 
  • Redeem rewards such as Book Bugs cards
  • Access NLB’s research databases and eLearning tutorial videos
  • Sign up for programmes or access library services that require a myLibrary username

 



Membership CardThese are the services you can still enjoy as an NLB member, without a digital account. You will need an alternative library compliant card to do so. 

You would still be able to:

  • Borrow physical library items at our Book Borrowing Stations.
  • Pay fees/fines at our Book Borrowing Stations.
  • Sign up for events that do not require a myLibrary username


You would then have to proceed to any of the libraries to make payment in person at our Book Borrowing Stations.

The deletion of your digital account will not affect the way in which NLB processes, stores or retains your personal data in accordance with the NLB Privacy Statement.
