This is a 1982 photograph of a row of two-storey shophouses located at Spottiswoode Park Road. Spottiswoode Park Road, which is near the Tanjong Pagar area, is probably named after one of the partners of Spottiswoode & Co. They were William, Charles and Archibald Spottiswoode.
