This 1982 photograph shows the rear of godowns at Havelock Road, as viewed across the Singapore River at Robertson Quay. Havelock Road is named after General Sir Henry Havelock (1795 - 1857), who fought in the Afghan and Sikh wars and was one of the commanders of the Indian Mutiny. Title devised by Library staff.
