This is a 1982 photograph which depicts Joo Chiat Road, from Fowlie Road corner. It shows a view of a road with shophouses on both corners of the road. Vehicles are parked in the parking lots provided along the road. Two men can be seen walking towards the shops. The shop which is featured in the centre of the photograph, has the name, "Nam Hiang Wee" and the logos of two brands of drinks, Pepsi and Miranda on either side of the sign placed across the front of the shop. The name of the shop is also given in Chinese. Title devised by library staff.
