About the Book

This publication comprises of a series of twelve talks broadcast by Mr Lee Kuan Yew over Radio Singapore between 1st September to 9th October, 1961. The talks are broadcasted to the public to clarify and explain the political situation in Singapore and the Malaysian Federation. Mr Lee's aim was to prevent the people from being confused by the Communists, their front organisations and front men. In addition, through these talks, Mr Lee also presents to the people the referendum of merger with Malaya that would vitally affect their lives and to expose the conspiracy of communist opponents and their proxies to prevent the merger.
