About the Book

This publication provides a history of the formation of the Missionary Society in London in 1795. The aim of the Society is to propagate the principles of divine truth to pagan nations. To that end, the society resolved to set up a mission to China under the care of the Rev. R. Morrison. The book recounts the activities of the missionaries in China. Upon the successful setting up of the mission in China, more missions were set up in Malacca and Singapore.
