Formed in February 2005, West Grand Boulevard began as a project to make music without boundaries. Their goal was to produce music that would encapsulate total artistic freedom to make music, however inspiration guided them through a vast array of musical influences that ranged from dramatic classical compositions to modern metal and pop-punk. The line-up has grown to a total of five members, including founder Dharma Sadasivan on vocals and guitars, as well as Ian Ortega on guitar and vocals, Bryan Gamboa on vocals, Syed Hyder on drums and Jude Lee on bass guitar. Nine years on, they are veterans of the scene, having played Baybeats Festival twice, 2006 and 2009, Ignite! Music Festival 2011, toured the Philippines in 2008 and 2009 and released an album “Life, Love & A Loss For Better Words” in 2011. The album was produced with Leonard Soosay of Snakeweed Studios, leading independent music producer and sound engineer who has worked with top local acts Electrico, The Great Spy Experiment and Inch Chua. In 2013, they returned to perform for Ignite! Music Festival, a showcase of the best Singapore’s music scene has to offer, and are currently working on the release of new material.
