Ladies and Gentlemen,

1. Good morning and a warm welcome to everyone joining us today in commemorating World Mental Health Day at Jurong Regional Library. We would also like to thank Guest-of-Honour, Ms Grace Fu, Minister, Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for the Environment & Water Resources and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs for gracing this occasion. It is special to us as this is the second year we are partnering Silver Ribbon (Singapore) to raise awareness on the importance of mental health wellness.

2. Mental wellness is often misunderstood and disregarded by some of us. This is particularly important for us to understand, especially so in a fast-paced society like Singapore, where balancing work and lifestyle commitments can sometimes pose a challenge to us. So, we would like to encourage our library visitors to learn more about mental wellness and pick up useful health tips through the wide selection of books and DVDs at our 23 public libraries as well as the library's eResources which are accessible online.

3. We are delighted to work with Silver Ribbon (Singapore). As we mark World Mental Health Day, we wish everyone good health – both mental and physical.

4. Thank you for the opportunity to contribute to society.
