Synopsis:
Dharma’s Chariot is a short story about a man named Palaniappan, a cloth merchant who sells a shipment of defective cloth to his old friend Jamal in order to pay the rent for his shop in Arab street. Jamal had previously helped Palaniappan set up his business, and this act of cheating leaves the latter with a heavy heart and sense of guilt. Originally written in Tamil by the award-winning writer, Sithuraj Ponraj, this short story has been translated into English, Chinese and Malay, into this one volume.
