Join Senior Librarian Mazelan bin Anuar as he highlights Singapore newspaper articles published as early as 1831. Discover the National Library’s newspaper collection, which includes newspapers such as Syonan Shimbun, Singapore Chronicle and Commercial Registeras well as the first issue of The Straits Times published in 1845.

About the Speaker
Mazelan bin Anuar is a Senior Librarian at the National Library. His research interests are in early Malay Singapore publications and digital librarianship. He is involved in managing the National Library’s Malay language collection as well as NewspaperSG.
