Punggol Library - Meeting Room (Level 3)

   11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

   Free Admission

This panel discussion brings together three working persons with disabilities (PwDs) from diverse professional backgrounds to share their lived experiences in the workplace. Through candid reflections on their career journeys, the panellists will offer insights into the opportunities, challenges, and strengths that PwDs bring to different sectors.

The session aims to broaden public understanding of the capabilities of PwDs, challenge common misconceptions about disability and employment, and highlight the importance of inclusive practices in building equitable workplaces. Participants will gain a deeper appreciation of how lived experience informs advocacy, professional expertise, and meaningful contributions to society.

Panelists:

Winston Wong
Winston is a Singapore-based disability inclusion advocate and voice for persons with disabilities. Born with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, he has become an active champion for disability awareness and inclusive practices through community outreach and public engagement. Winston has represented inclusion causes with organisations such as Inclus and as part of The Purple Parade leadership initiatives, where he works to challenge stigma and broaden public understanding of hearing loss and disability inclusion.

Josh Tseng
Josh is a digital accessibility advocate and inclusive design consultant in Singapore. Drawing on his lived experience with visual impairment — having lived with vision loss due to congenital glaucoma — he promotes accessibility in both digital and physical spaces. As a co-founder of Blind Mice Media, Josh works with organisations to embed inclusive practices into their design and development processes, actively speaking and creating content to educate others on the importance of accessibility for all.

Shalom Lim
Shalom is a Singaporean writer, artist, and disability rights advocate who lives with muscular dystrophy. He co-founded Rebirth Ensemble, Singapore’s first disability-led art consultancy, and uses his experiences to advance inclusive creative practice and storytelling. Shalom also contributes regularly as a columnist on disability issues, serves on boards related to disability advocacy, and supports efforts to make arts and community spaces more accessible and representative of diverse abilities.
