About the Programme
Wait a minute! Before you toss your fruit peels and skins into the bin, did you know that you can make an organic & eco-friendly cleaning solution with all that fruit "waste"?
In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to create your own organic degreaser using citrus fruit peels like lemons, oranges, and limes. This degreaser can be used to clean grease on stoves and countertops at home, and can even partially replace chemical detergents as a more eco-friendly cleaning solution!
While materials will be provided for this workshop, participants are highly encouraged to bring the following:
- 500ml container with a lid (eg. plastic containers for festive cookies)
- 90-100g of citrus fruit peels (eg. orange peels or lemon peels)
Please note:
Do store your collected citrus fruit peels in the freezer before the workshop. This is to prevent mould from growing on them.
Latecomers may be denied entry to this workshop. Your slot may be given to others if you are more than 10 minutes late.
