I had my first picnic with my partner in East Coast Park and everything was perfect. The wind was soothing, the view lovely, and the area we were at was quiet. When it got darker, we felt things crawling over our feet and we jolted alarmingly as we both dislike crawly insects. We laughed at how timid we were and that was when we knew imperfect moments like that will actually give us something to talk and laugh about and keep us together.
