Red Swastika School. During my time as a student, my teachers were really nice and gave the attention I could not get from home as my parents were very busy. I spent most of my time in school where we could play and learn at the same time, and my teachers taught me to be a disciplined and independent individual. We were given lots of platforms to learn and lead, which is something I would want to give my students now. Children now are so different from children from our time. The values I learnt from my primary school teachers are what I want to pass to my students too and hopefully what they will also hold in their heart when they have grown up. It will really make a different in them. Being a teacher allow me to contribute in a way that is meaningful with a great sense of satisfaction. When I was a student, I was one of the student-teacher too, where a group of us walks around whenever we have finished our work to help other friends, and when they finally understood, I felt as though I have achieved something that made feel really good. I guess that was also why I took up this path, to be a teacher. I also remember the times where my teachers recognised my efforts and praised me, building up my confidence and ability. I guess every child needs a person like that in their life.
