1980's. Old Chong Pang Village (circa 1986) I was 7yrs old when my family first moved to Yishun in the 80's. Next to Yishun was a little hill with kampong style shop houses and peoples' attap house. The place at the top of the hill even had a open air movie theatre. Such a nostalgic place with a simple style of living and people living their lives pre-HDB living. I thoroughly enjoyed that experience. Drawing the courtesy lion in kindergarten (1983) The year was '83 and I had started kindergarten. I remember being in a class of children during a picture taking graduation day. I had forgotten to let my parents know that me needed to wear white shoes for an graduation. In ē end, I wore white socks with a pair of marooned, peep toe children' high heels with graduation gown. We also learnt to draw the courtesy lion, drawing it's head, it's crown and it's face. The teacher were teaching ē children to draw that in that year (1983).
