1970s. My father often took us to the drains near Pierce Reservoir to catch 'longkang fish'. We always enjoyed scooping the little guppies with our nets & putting them in our jars. It was a bonus to catch a few pregnant females. Unfortunately these fish didn't last long in our giant containers at home.
