Information About

My favourite food memory in Singapore would be the times when my family had dinner and supper at Chomp Chomp food centre. The adults would order an array of dishes for us children, and my cousins and I couldn't be any happier chowing down the Hokkien mee, satay, white carrot cake, fried oysters and char kway teow while gulping sugar cane juice. No meal, regardless of how posh or luxurious the restaurant is, can ever beat the taste of our local food at the nearest food centre in the heartlands. (Memory collected at the Central Public Library during "The Singapore Story: My Heart, My Hope, My Home" campaign from 6 Sep to 31 Dec 2012)
