How we loved Chinese New Year then. Our uncles and cousins bough firecrackers of all sizes. The sound and smoke of the firecrackers filled the air. We place small firecrackers under tin cans and watched in anticipation. We would squeal to see the cans flying up. Often we were too engrossed to notice the joss sticks in our hands burn holes in our new CNY outfits. If we 'bent' a firecracker and lit it, it would spin. Oh what fun!
