The old Lido cinema was one of my favorite cinema. The first photo shows the Lido cinema that was lighted up with the Christmas decor in 1984. I still remember it was showing Andy Lau's movie 最佳男朋友. The second photo was taken in 1989. The photo show that Lido has started putting up advertisements endorsed by Coke ans Sprite. This may be due to the fact that the movie industry had dwindling profits as many people switched to watching movie from video tape and video CD etc. Photo credit: Karen Lim
