This picture was taken at MacRitchie Reservoir which shows my mum and her brother posing for a picture by a fountain. My mum did not live near there, so going to MacRitchie Reservoir was always a special treat for my mum and her siblings. They would set out mats and lay their food they brought along down on them and after that run around in the wide open spaces. Even back then, the reservoir was a very beautiful place with its lush greenery. This is why so many people would be jogging there or having picnics on the grass enjoying each others company. Recently, there has been major renovations to the place and it was just completed in 2011. Although there was been changes to the place, I believe that certain areas in MacRitchie Reservoir has been left untouched allowing people, such as my mum, to relive the pleasant memories they had in the past and also to tell the younger generation of how life was like in the past.
