I drew this comic as the front page of my debate notebook when I was in Secondary 3/4 and was RGS' Team 1 Third Speaker. I always realized there was a great ambivalence between debating topics adults wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole, and being able to switch sides at the drop of a hat. I am grateful to debate for giving me the skills of presentation, thinking on my feet and oratory, but I quit in JC because I thought it was distorting my personality too much!
