Xiang Yun grew up in Hougang. She shared that her neighbours are mostly chinese, malay and indian, she is glad that Singapore is more racial harmonise as compared to other countries. Her family speaks chinese and english more often but their neighbour speaks english, hence there were no language barrier. She stays in a 5 room HDB flat, currently studying at Temasek Polytechnic. She thinks that the popular occupation in Singapore is Food & Beverage. Things are getting more expensive which will be a challenge faced by the younger generation.
