The day the water pipe burst. It was like a dream come true. In the heat of the classrooms, the dull lesson, the tiredness from studying late the night before, we have all at one point wished something would happen so that school would be cancelled for the day. The announcement came right after assembly. A water pipe they'd been repairing over the week had burst and the school had decided to send us all home for the day. Instant cheers erupted throughout the school. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one spending the surprise free day out with my friends and classmates. Ask any SMSS girl who was there that day and it will immediately bring up good memories.
