Long time ago. When I was around five to seven, my parents used to bring me to down the block around my house to visit the Pasar Malam. The sights, sounds, smells and even taste (the food :P) of the place seemed to bring the whole night alive. There aren't many places or countries in the world that after such a unique and pleasant experience, coupled with the friendly ambience of the place. It's something that I won't forget.
