Organisation of Contributor: Tuffaha Readers' Nichel. My School Story: Life was so simple back then now that I had thought about it. And yet I still remember the stress and headaches I thought was too much for me to bear in those days. Being different was what I would summarize the childhood I had. Always being left behind or forgotten. For one simple fact about me was that I was always misunderstood and unable to be understood. I couldn't perform in my any studies and works and the only expectation being put onto me was being hopeless and weak. At the stage where a lot around me had given up on me, one teacher stood out among the rest. She put in a new ways of learning for me to venture. I started to see how being different is okay. That I would be fine. Miss Faeza adds laughter and adventure in her lessons. I started to find out more ways on how my ways may not be their ways but I can still produce results proudly. I learnt to love learning. Miss Faeza bid farewell to us in life at such a young age. She is resting now. But whenever I hold a child's hand to tell them that it is okay to be different, I would remember Miss Faeza. I thank the Lord for her presence in my life. I am still different and always misunderstood but as long as I dare to try I will be fine... I am teaching now... And I truly hope I could continue what she would have if she's around. Thank you Miss Faeza. May Lord bless your soul and your good deeds. I will always remember you in my prayer... (Collected from MOE ExCEL Fest 30-31 Mar 2012).
