1970-1976. The large field that allowed Birkhall Primary School students to run around when the recess bell ranged. Children were playing "one leg" catching sparrows at the low bushes within time compound. The faces of joyous free freedom contrasted sparkly with children of the day. Catching spiders and guppies in water drains were such fun and joy few children can associate today. A farewell to those glorious day!:) (Memory collected at the Queenstown Public Library during "The Singapore Story: My Heart, My Hope, My home" campaign from 6 Sep to 31 Dec 2012)
