Contributed by: Nur Liyana Binte Johari, 10 When I was about one year old, my grandma had to take care of me because my parents had to support the family. My grandma loves me dearly. Once, when I was sick she fed me chicken porridge. I am the only grandchild in the family, so my grandma spoils me rotten. When I fell sick and have no appetite, my grandma is worried sick and because of that, she worries for me all the time. Though my grandmother is not young, she takes care of me, does all the household chores and that includes marketing too. She did not have an easy time because she got to carry me along and don’t forget I was a bubbly and extremely chubby baby. My grandma always uses her free time to bring me to the garden. Once, she fell sick, I spent the whole day caring for her. As I get older, my grandma does not show her love towards me openly but she shows it through her actions. I am fortunate to have such a wonderful grandmother. (This story was contributed as part of the 'To My Grandpa/Grandma' project initiated by NLB & the Advisory Panel for Seniors.
