I remember a very fierce/stern form teacher/maths teacher whom we adored but were afraid of. One day a classmate told me to go out of class with the excuse that we were going to peruse the restroom. We then darted out of class and played catching all over the school grounds. When we returned to class all sweaty, our teacher Mrs Mary Teo asked where we went. I couldn't lie so I confessed our misdemeanour. She proceeded to cane the two of us in the classroom in front of everyone. This was in Primary Two. I wonder where she is now.
