They were the best in my life journey. Used to spend hours and hours playing with my cousins and siblings in the kampong house of my grandparents at Jalan Eunos. Simple games like balloon, five stones, hit the stone and tree climbing were truly, very enjoyable. Free roaming and close to nature with lots of coconut trees, fruit trees, vegetables, chicken, ducks, pigs and dogs, all living in the area were so relaxing and fun. Even though there was no electricity and potable water, we were able to spend meaningful time with our family members, all five to six on the old, big bed of our grandmother! And the history of all her stories told in Cantonese, were very, very memorable.
