As a temporary staff, I really felt proud to say that Singapore had full of wonderful memories. These memory are being shared by some older generation and from their description, even though Singapore was not high-tech in the olden days but the community were united as one, regardless of races. Behind the present, there was so much history such as satay men selling satay on the roadside. Entrance to cinema cost only $2.00, Nasi Lemak and ice-kachang, they can get it for only $0.50, there was a lot of sailboat which can be found in Marina in the olden days, and so much more. As a present generation, I felt that without the past, our country would not be successful like now. I felt blessed to be one of the Singaporean. : ) (Memory collected at the Sembawang Public Library during "The Singapore Story: My Heart, My Hope, My Home" campaign from 6 Sep to 31 Dec 2012)
