Information about this recording

My parents and my siblings used to go to the National Library once a month. We used to take a bus and I still remember that we had to walk up a slope and climb the brick-like stairs to enter the library. My brothers and I always played on the stairs climbing up and down. Sometimes we would eat the Indian Rojak sold outside the library. They had a few shops selling foodstuff and drinks. At other times, we used to walk across the road to the YMCA building. There was a McDonalds on the ground floor and we used to eat our favourite burger and applied pie. Our trip to the library was always fun! (Memory collected at the Yishun Public Library during "The Singapore Story: My Heart, My Hope, My Home" campaign from 6 Sep to 31 Dec 2012)
