I grew up in Blk 105 Jalan Bukit Merah, a one room flat. 6 of us squeezed and slept in one corner of the room. Always hung out in the playground beside our block, and always loved to buy snacks that cost 10 cents to 5 cents each. Now this snack biscuit costs $1.50 or nine for a pack. Now this place has changed and the block is now with better facilities and now there are more old folks in this area. Day care caters to old peoples' needs now. After 40 years.
