Tanjong Katong Girls' School (1990s). My school days were a mixture of "good" and "bad" experiences of teachers. The "bad" teachers from my lower secondary school days taught me to be independent and self-motivated as help would not be given after school. I had to learn to be responsible for my own learning should I want to do well in my studies. On the contrary, my upper secondary teacher, Ms Sandra Liew taught me to trust myself and my ability. Being weak in English does not mean that I will perform badly in this subject. Through her patience and lessons with her, it gave me the determination to do better. It was the mixture of "good" and "bad" teachers that made me a teacher who will help and motivate the weaker students to improve and excel. Contribution from Geylang Methodist School (Secondary).
