1970's. In the 1970s, many are not wealthy and many families lined frugally. The trees next to the Queenstown library are the playground for many children who climbed onto trees, run on the gentle slopes of Margaret Drive and played marbles on the red soil along side Margaret Drive. The sounds of the Malay satay man at 4pm and the sweet shops at the shop houses resonates in my mind as if it was yesterday.....
