Information About

I am now turning 63 in 2 months' time. My earliest memory dates back to a 3 yr old living in a communal based set up where at least 10 households were individually, yet shared common facilities like toilets & kitchen, lived very happily together. The kids played, the mothers looked after the children, washed, cooked etc. There were lots of activities abuzz everyday. As the socio economic state improved, we moved into a 3-rooms HDB flat @ Redhill Close in the 50's. I attended the neighbourhood school @ Redhill Primary & excelled to top the school @ PSLE. I entered RGSS till Pre-U III medicine in 1969. Admitted to S.U. Medical College, many thanks to my parents who worked very hard, to provide everyone of their 5 children with tertiary education. They provided us with a very loving, warm & nurturing home. I graduated from medical school 1975 & specialised in public health. Got married to an orthopaedic surgeon & brought up our 2 children who are now married. Recently I became a maternal grandma. Have retired & spent my time doing things I enjoy!! Without our roots, it may be different cause they really have sacrificed lots, unconditionally & we are what we are now, because of them. Thanks.
