My favourite memory of Singapore is: (1) As a little kid a trip to old "satay clubs" in Beach Road was a "rare" treat as I lived up in Sembawang then. (2) As a teenager, I frequent the old "C. K. Tang" (fancy shopping haunt then) along Orchard Road & the rows of eateries adjacent to the "iconic" structure opposite Wisma (Indonesian Embassy). (3) As an adult, I witnessed the dramatic change in the landscape - mushrooming new HDB estates, launch of MRT and world-class educational establishments. (4) Now a semi-retiree, I am blessed with a peaceful life, surrounded by international standards amenities and infra-structure like the Mega integrated resorts & Universal Studios.
