Information about this recording

Early 80's. Remember those days when we flocked to the red building called Central Library. It's probably the only one that was 'sizable' then. However, it was always packed with people & students in uniforms from all over the island. Now, the scene has changed. Libraries are not only in town, but around the island - decentralised. We are bringing the good behaviour of reading to the countrymen. One thing that does not change - every single library that I go to is still so 'crowded'. (Memory collected at the Bukit Batok Public Library during "The Singapore Story: My Heart, My Hope, My Home" campaign from 6 Sep to 31 Dec 2012)
