When I was staying in Chinatown in the year 1972, there were coffee stalls and one of the famous Ikan Bili and fish ball noodle stall along the street. The food hygiene standard was not very good but the food was cheaper. Now these roadside hawkers have moved to the Chinatown hawker centre. The conditions are much better now.
