My late uncle respected Mr Lee Kuan Yew and as a little firl in the mid 50s, I was influenced by my uncle initially to take an interest in this political figure. Now on remembering what Mr Lee Kuan Yew had done for Singapore, I have nothing but gratitude for having him as the founder of the nation, Singapore. His efforts will not be wasted. We, Singaporeans, are proud of him and will forever remember him.
