Mr Lim remembers visiting one of the first fully air conditioned shopping centres in Singapore, the Katong Shopping Centre. He remembers visiting the shops there and spending extended periods of time in the Shopping Centre and enjoying the air conditioning especially on those hot days. Now, Katong Shopping Centre is revamped and renovated, in new colours as well. New Shopping Centres have been popping up all over Singapore ever since and the growth of such places have been so, ever since. In fact, he finds it heartening that Singapore has been faring so well, that he can enjoy shopping in other places as well.
