Singapore is where my home is. I love it because it is a place of diverse cultures where every one of us learns to respect and tolerate our differences. We also get to enjoy a wide variety of food ranging from roti john to waffles, from mee rebus to prawn noodles. That is what make our local food unique because that its wide range is due to the different cultural mix that exists in the country. The other extraordinary thing about Singapore is its bilingualism. Many other countries have their people speaking one language but Singapore doesn't. We have a wide variety of Singaporeans speaking in two different languages. This makes us special as we are all able to communicate in our mother tongue, as well as in our common language,'Singlish!' As a Singaporean, I believe these factors keep us united as we have a common medium and the cultures here, hold many memories for future generations to cherish and carry on.
