Kong Chian Cinema was built in 1972 where my late Father had brought me and my brothers there. I still remember the cinema help to raise fund for the free hospital. It was then closed for a while where McDonalds were open for a while before another Cinema took over the place and Cathay, Golden Village. It was then changed to a place for Multi-Purpose Hall for performances to be there and renovated to the current 600 @ Toa Payoh which has the first 24hours restaurant in Singapore and has pool centre and eateries.
